Stacey + Ricky met in the summer of 2016 through mutual friends, fell in love, and got engaged this past fall! I met Stacey soon after she got engaged to talk about her wedding photography and I’m just so glad her and Ricky decided to book, because they’re such a sweet couple!

The day of their engagement shoot Stacey told me she had just gotten over a week of having the flu! I wasn’t sure if she’d be up for the shoot, but she still wanted to do it and you would never even know she was sick, because she was so joyful and photogenic the entire time! I wish I looked that good right after the flu!

Due to it being a chilly, rainy day we decided to meet at the Garfield Park Conservatory and I’m so glad we did! It was so fun to shoot there! Once you walk through those doors you feel like you’ve entered into a tropical rainforest somewhere and it’s such a fun and cozy vibe!

For the second part of their shoot we decided to step outside for a different setting. The rain was not too much, but not too little! It was just the right amount to bust out the cute clear umbrellas I’ve had for months in my car but hadn’t been able to use yet! What is it about the rain that’s so romantic? Maybe it’s because it makes you pause and cuddle a little closer for a little bit longer since it’s chilly? Whatever it is I love it and Stacey + Ricky looked so cute under those umbrellas!

These two will be getting married at Park Tutor next fall and I’m already excited to get to see them again! It’s going to be beautiful, because these two are STUNNING together! Enjoy some of my favorites from this Garfield Park Conservatory engagement session and get excited to see these two on the blog again next fall!
