MR. + MRS. SHEMROSKE

Introducing Mr. + Mrs. Shemroske!!! Oh guys… there were so many sweet things about their wedding day! Where do I even begin? I’ll try not to write a novel here, but it’ll be hard not to!

Let’s first start with the venue… St. Joe Farm! I had never been to this venue, but when Michelle + Jimmy told me about it I gushed over their pictures online! Then I gushed even more when I saw that they had their wedding invitation suite personalized with a beautiful sketch of the farm on it! You’ll notice that in the photos below! Not only is this 1,200 acre farm just completely magical, it has so much history! In 1867, the president of Notre Dame University purchased the farm and used it to produce food to feed the entire university! How crazy is that? What’s even crazier is this farm is now owned by Jimmy’s aunt and uncle! The morning of the wedding I got to chat with Jimmy’s aunt about how special it was for them to be able to host their own family at their farm for their nephew’s wedding!

I have so many favorite moments from this day that you’ll get to see in the photos below, but I promise to keep it to a few…

Michelle + Jimmy said traditional vows during their ceremony so they wrote to each other their own personal vows in letters. Some of my favorite photos are of Michelle reading Jimmy’s letter to her. Time stood still for everyone in the room as she tearfully read his words to her and I’m so glad she got to pause and soak in that moment and reflect on what the whole day is really about… vowing to only say yes to each other for the rest of their lives!

Michelle + Jimmy had a pretty full wedding party… 9 on each side! That’s such a testament to how LOVED these two are and it’s so easy to see why. They are both so outgoing, loving, fun, thoughtful and such a joy to be around! That’s the perfect word to describe their wedding day… JOY! I loved working with this bridal party all day!

Their ceremony was in such a romantic outdoor setting underneath a tree that you just have to let the photos speak for! I’m becoming such a sucker for old, beautiful trees lately!

Then on to the reception… can we first just say wow? All of the vendors listed below just blew this one out of the water… from the white drapes across the high barn beams, to all of the stunning florals and the little details like copper silverware and custom calligraphy that personalized everything… it all tied together perfectly!

Then came the first dances! I’ll let the photos do the talking for how sweet those were, but let’s just say I had to fight back tears during the mother-son dance (of course with being a mama of boys) because you could just feel the joy in their faces and then Michelle and her dad… oh man the waterworks could start again! Ok I’ll stop there:) But the dancing didn’t stop there, because Michelle + Jimmy hired a live country band for their reception and they were a huge hit!

My LAST favorite moment from the day was when we got to pull Michelle + Jimmy away for a few minutes while the sun was setting… talk about jaw dropping! It was the perfect way to end such a perfect day!

Michelle + Jimmy, it’s bittersweet that your wedding is over! It feels like forever when we were hanging out in Chicago taking your engagement photos and talking about your wedding for June 2018! At the time it felt like it was forever away and now I can’t believe you’re already married! It was truly a day to remember and I’m so thankful you chose me to document it for you! I hope you cherish these photos for decades to come and that you’re having a wonderful honeymoon in Jamaica right now! Congrats again guys!!!

P.S. Huge HUGE shout out and thank you to Krissy and Steph for all of their help with the planning and design of the beautiful details of this day!!!
